PaperPro™ Desktop Stapler

Even in today’s digital wonderland the foundation of the office products business is in tools and supplies: paper and envelopes, pens and pencils, notebooks, tape, rulers, paperclips and desktop staplers.  In the middle of the last century, Scotch® tape (1930), ballpoint pens (1938), Liquid Paper® (1951) and Post-It Notes® (1980) created a trade wind of innovation.  Since then true innovation has run out of breeze and the term “new” has come to mean a color change, a padded grip or a restyled package.  An office worker from 1905 entering an office of 2005 would find paper, envelopes, rulers, scissors, paper clips and staplers that look and function virtually the same way they did 100 years ago.

Thus, the ships of the office product industry have been stuck in the doldrums for more than 20 years.  The 2005 PaperWorld tradeshow in Frankfurt saw a sea change with the introduction of the PaperPro™ line of desktop staplers developed by WorkTools for Accentra.  The new desktop stapler utilizes a compact staple gun mechanism that enables it to staple 2-20 sheets of paper with the push of just one finger.  It's like magic.
